Booking Deposits & Scheduling

Completed Jobs

MOVE THAT COUCH! retains the booking deposit on completed jobs.
After the service is completed, the remaining balance is due to you.
To collect payment, send an invoice through MOVE THAT COUCH!. Customers can pay by card through Stripe or pay you directly using another agreed-upon payment method.
If you've already been paid directly, send a receipt instead.
Completed jobs remain in your Active tab until either an invoice or receipt has been sent.

Late Cancellations

If the customer cancels within 48 hours of the appointment time, the booking deposit is paid to you as a late cancellation fee.

Rescheduling

You may update your quote anytime before a quote is accepted and deposit paid.
After a booking is accepted, coordinate any schedule changes through the chat.
To keep everyone on the same page, use the Reschedule tool in the chat's Actions menu whenever the appointment date or time changes.
The Reschedule tool updates the appointment for both parties and helps ensure reminders and scheduling information stay accurate.
Late cancellation protection is always based on the original appointment time that was agreed to when the quote was accepted.

Our Service Area

MOVE THAT COUCH! facilitates deliveries that can be completed by an independent service provider using normal road travel, including routes that use drive-on public ferries.

What we support:

Deliveries within all 50 U.S. states
Deliveries within inhabited U.S. territories
Routes that include drive-on public ferries where a vehicle remains with the service provider
Long-distance deliveries, as long as a continuous driving route exists

What we don't support:

Routes that require cargo handoff, air cargo, ocean freight, or shipping services
Routes that do not have a continuous drivable path (for example, passenger-only ferries or walking-only segments)
International cross-border routes

Availability is determined automatically based on whether a continuous driving route can be verified at the time a request is posted.
